In tech today we talked about Earthworms. 

Now I’ll be sharing some facts with you.

Here are some facts about earthworms 

• Most Earthworms are found in soil

• Earthworms let air into the soil   

• There are 27 types of worms 

• Earthworms break down all the organic rubbish and release all those nutrients back into the soil to be used again by plants.

• The line on earthwarms are called stripes

• People call earthworms tigers because of the lines

• Earthworms give the soil oxygen

• Emma used mustard powder and water and tipped it all over the soil, All earthworms were irritated so they came out

• Worm are invertebrates

• There are 5,500 known species of worms

• Colors of worms are reddish brown colour, with a pointed posterior (back end) and anterior (front end)

• Earthworms have no lungs

How Mana Found Fire

 

There was a little boy named Mana. He wanted to make fire but he didn't want to use a lighter and he was too young… So he remembered a story so let's get into the story. There was a boy named Maui.  Maui was so cheeky and wanted to know what would happen if he put out all fires around the world. There was no fire for them to cook or keep warm.  Maui played a trick on Mahuika and made her mad so she used 4 of her flames on her finger and had 1 flame left so she threw it towards Maui and missed but it hit the tree. Now that it has hit the tree, the wood on the tree can be used to make fire. So after the story mana thought to go look for fire nails and saw that his sister had fire nails. He bugged his sister to give him 1 but his sister didnt know what he was talking about. So his sister swung her hand and a little fire nail flew to Mana so he quickly grabbed it and went off but the wind blew it. So all over again he went back and his sister swung her hand again and he catched the fire nail but the wind kept blowing it away so he had another idea. He went outside and opened the back door for his sister's room and his sister was so mad she swung her hand again and Mana dogged the fire and it hit the tree. So from now on Mana is using the wood tree to start a fire when it’s time to cook or to be warm.
